Offline mode requirements
Offline capabilities require a tablet running the Zenoti Mobile App (Overview: Mobile Apps). This app-based approach allows for sufficient local storage so that Zenoti can operate without connectivity. The browser version of Zenoti does not cache enough data locally to run offline.
This does not mean you must operate your business on a tablet all the time. But it means you need to have a tablet available to perform as a backup point-of-sale; and that the tablet is regularly connected so as to sync before you need it.
Offline mode is currently designed to work during outages that occur midday — it does not correctly function across multiple days or if your salon goes offline before starting for the day.

Limitations of offline mode
- Group billing is not supported. Only individual bookings can be made in offline mode.
- Synchronization will not work if you are not using the app actively. If the app is running in the background while online, the sync process may not be up-to-date. It's recommended to use the app actively (e.g., as a check-in kiosk) and ensure an internet connection to keep data sync’ed (prior to an outage).
- New online bookings will not sync while you are in offline mode. Only front-desk bookings are supported in offline mode. (It cannot connect to the web to retrieve the latest online bookings.)
- Price and therapist scaling is not supported. If price and therapist scaling is enabled for your business, it will not be factored-in for bookings made offline.
- Editing service price is not supported. Service prices cannot be modified in offline mode.
- Only campaigns of type ‘discount' are supported. Other types of campaigns (e.g. cashback) are not supported in offline mode.
- Cashback and donations are not supported.
- Only the center's preferred language is supported in offline mode. When online, the Zenoti Mobile App will function in an employee’s preferred language (as set in the employee profile). However when offline, only in the center's preferred language is supported.
- Same local network. For offline credit card processing, your credit card terminal must be connected to the same local network (WiFi or physical router) as your tablet. This is so that your tablet can locate your terminal, even if offline.
